Isotonic Electrolyte Supplement.

ISOPRO is a concentrated, scientifically formulated and cost effective electrolyte supplement for daily use in performance horses. The replacement of electrolytes after sweating is essential as metabolic imbalances may result in a lactic acid accumulation, ‘tying up’ syndrome, dehydration and decreased performance. ISOPRO is naturally flavoured with aniseed, which is highly palatable to the horse.

The right fluid balance is essential to keeping a horse healthy and fit. It can be a challenge to get horses to drink enough, and a dehydration level of just 3% will impair performance. All horses lose salts through their urine, faeces, and sweat. A horse may lose 10-15 litres of fluid per hour during training. If you only provide water, it can take up to four days until the salt balance is restored, and so it is recommended to give electrolyte supplements after hard workouts or in hot weather. Electrolyte supplementation contributes to a faster recovery and better performance in the horse.

Calcium Carbonate 24%, Sodium Chloride 20%, Dextrose 17.18%, Potassium Chloride 16%, Sodium Bicarbonate 12%, Magnesium Sulphate Heptahydrate 4.8%.

Additives per 60gper 1kg:
Citric Acid 2,400 mg 40,000 mg.

Analytical Constituents:
Sodium 11.15%, Chloride 19.74%, Potassium 8.39%, Calcium 9.61%, Magnesium 0.48%.

Usage instructions:

Instructions for Proper Use:
All Horses: Feed 60 g per day (1 scoop = 60 g).
Fresh drinking water should be available at all times.
