For better hoof quality and protein uptake Biotin is necessary for cell growth, production of fatty acids and metabolism of fat and amino acids. Also involved in the citric acid cycle and to maintain a constant blood sugar level. Deficiency can cause fatigue, skin problems and poor appetite. High doses of biotin have shown improvements including in the quality and growth of hoofs.

USAGE

Biotin (Vitamin H) improves hoof growth and hoof quality. It is also a prerequisite for the horse to assimilate protein in feed. Increases hoof elasticity and reduces hovsprickor. Sufficient Biotin is an essential quality in the horse’s hoof growth. Also contributes to a better coat.

DOSAGE

30 ml / day (= 15 mg pure biotin) to large horse (550 kg). Enough for 45 days per kg. Others in proportion to body weight or as veterinary regulations.
